It's about getting dressed to go out in the cold. The co lours are reinforced in the worksheet. This is the first time I&'ve tried to illustrate this myself so be gentle with me !!!! You could scan them into a powerpoint so all the children can sing or play each others work. This will work with fruit or animals in the topic whether or not you are doing 'Handa&'s surprise'

PowerPoint works in conjunction with the videos in downloads..Using the Viking raids as a starting point, the PowerPoint looks at the chanting of monks from Benedictine to the modern Gregorians. Both videos are very soothing and can be played as a standalone resource before Assemblies or in a quiet time of the day. The work concludes with a little leaflet that is a response to the music. Mix and match! Web addresses to these source materials are included.

Listening to the news this morning , I heard an interview with Anna Deutcher. She is a musical prodigy and a delightful child! This is just what I need to inspire years 3 and 4 today and maybe give them an antidote to "Classical music is not cool" You need to be able to view YouTube in your classroom to use this PPT in order to hear her compositions and she her being interviewed.
